Business goal:
  Gather lead information from prospective students and deliver information to them in exchange.
Technology solution:
 

We worked with Lightform Media and Salva O'Renick to build a web form for prospective students. They provided their contact information and a set of interests (major, minor, campus activities, etc.). We stored that information in an Access database on the web site.

On the fly, we generated a PDF brochure for each student, using their form selections to choose what elements to include in the document. We then sent the PDF to the student via email.

On the back end, we built an interface for university admissions staff to download new records from the web server and import them to the university's existing EMASPlus lead management system.

Results:
  The university receives leads from large blocks of students in the spring in a completely automated way, and students have a PDF document created for them with just their interests included. Students feel a tighter relationship with the university than with other schools they're applying to, and the university knows more about students thinking of attending in the fall.
